Tag Time: Shopper

1. What is your favorite store

Probably Mod Cloth, or Asos. I don't love an Australian stores, but if did, it would be Typo I guess.

2. What is your favorite trend

Pattern clashing! I have been that way since I was a child and love it.

3. What is one clothing item you need/want right now

Denim shorts for when I travel in the USA summer.

4. If you could steal anyone's style, who would it be

Probably Evelina, from evelinasfashioncafe. Then again, I am not quite that girly, so I think I am combo of her, and a young boy.

5. Do you shop online and if so are there any stores you recommend

Asos, Modcloth, NastyGal, Urban Outfitters... so many choices. Online is way better than real life, except for the whole returns thing.

6. Who is your fashion icon

Again, I don't really know. I used to love Chanel as a kid (yes I was weird), but maybe now it is bloggers. I tend to like outfits that people with the same body shape have on.

7. Where do you bargain shop

Dotti, getting 50% off as a staff discount is pretty good :)

8. Describe your style

I love cute meets practical meets edgey. Figure that one out.

Brand Blurb: Kate Somerville

Lets move on to the products!

***

Best Products:

Somerville360 Self Tan Towelettes: $55.00
I had never been good at fake tanning, until these beauties came into my life. They are the easiest way to tan, and nothing bad can happen. If you get a 'streak' it somehow has magically blurred edges so no one can really tell. MAGIC. One towelette gives natural glow, and 2-3 gives you full on spray tan results. Try these asap kids!

Worst Products:

ExfoliKate: $98.00
I love how this leaves my skin feeling, literally baby soft, but while using I though my entire face was going to melt off. I was in unbearable pain, skin burning so bad I though I would be left with just muscle bad. BAD FEELINGS. But I am hopeful that this is not what happens to all people, and maybe I just need to try the gentle/sensitive skin formula. All I can say is please try before you buy, because I felt like this was seriously damaging my skin, which is not worth 98 a pop.

In-between Products:

CytoCel Dark Circle Corrector Eye Cream: $86.00

Mehhhhhh. I like thick, smelly eye creams, and this guy just did not cut it. I go more on how an eye cream make me feel, rather than visible effects, mainly because I never actually see anything ha.

I am hoping to grab some more products while I am in the states, so expect an update here soon!

Ebay: Yes or No?

Oh Ebay, why do you fail me so? I have divided to share my thoughts on eBay, picture-less, just because I do not have much else to say. Yeah, riveting life I lead.

Pros:
You can make money
Everything is organised for you
You can buy stuff
Funny stuff too - like cat costumes
People generally pay you

Cons:
Sometimes people don't pay you
It is a big ordeal to tell eBay and get money etc when they don't pay you
You have to go to the effort of sending
Sometimes even when people pay you, you realize you only made 70c on the entire sale
You normally shop more than you sell
People like asking a lot of stupid questions

Yeah.... I need money, but eBay can be a bit of a trap sometimes.

What do you guys think?

Mecca Beauty Loop

Once again I grabbed my Mecca Beauty Loop Box (missed one while in Japan = sad face), and it was pretty darn good.

Natural Eyes

What's in the box, in the box..... Natural eyes! Woo! I was very very very naughty for purchasing this, but as they say, no regrets. It is beautiful, inside and out. I Think Too Faced eye shadows are my favourite, or at least tied with Stila. I also tend to use palettes of this size a lot more, as too many shadows can really scare me off. My naked palette has barely been used, bar for my everyday eyebrow routine. If this guys matches my eyebrows, I will need nothing else!
As usual there are the three larger shadows, 6g each, and six smaller accent shadows, 5.4g each, totaling 9 shadows.
This time around we have 4 matte shades, and 3 shimmers, and 2 glitter-shimmer hybrids. The glitter is by no means chunky, and has very minimal fall out, at least when I tested it on my hand.

Products I Used Up: April

I barely used anything this month, so I am just going to get onto it, short and sweet!

Ponche Shower Gel: I did like ponche, and I think this is my second or third bottle. It smells amazing, with orange and tequila, but unfortunately does not lather as well as other shower gels I have used. I would repurchase this, but probably won't be doing so any time soon.

I Love Juicy Shampoo: This is a great shampoo, which leaves your hair squeaky clean, but is not hydrating. I loved this shampoo, but my hair has become a lot drier recently, and in think it is time for a change.

Priceline Cotton Tips: As far as cotton tips go these work fine. I think that really you can't go wrong, cotton tips are cotton tips, so I tend to go for the cheapest possible.

Jasmine and Henna Fluff Ease: I absolutely love the smell of this hair mask. I had to admit I don't see an insane difference in my hair, but this smell is so great and lasts for several days so it's worth the 20 minutes it takes out of my day. I do notice a bit of frizz reduced, and over all my hair is more managble, but other than that this is purely scent based.

Rimmel Bronzer: Oh Rimmel, you have failed me again. The way they shatter when you are a mere third of they way through really irks me. I won't repurchase this, as there are plenty of better bronzes out their will less shimmer and less breakage.

Lush Sparkle Toothy Tabs: This is more of a throwing away, rather than using up, post, as I never actually tried these. Something about a solid toothpaste just doesn't sit right with me. If any of you haves tried these please let me know, but if don't regret throwing my year old free sample in the bin.

That's all for today :)

Favourites: April

This month I found it really hard to pick any favourites, I had to really think just to come up with a few ideas. That is mainly due to the fact I have been either sick, working, studying or dancing. Nothing exciting, and barely any time for hobbies.

But let the favourites begin!

Breakfast Burritos!

I was quite hungry the other morning, and fruit and yogurt was just not going to cut it. I had a quick squize online, and realized I had all the ingredients for a heart breakfast burritos. This makes about 2 burritos, one for you and one for a friend!

Ingredients:
-wraps

-cheese
-eggs
-salsa
-garlic
-meat of choice (you can use chopped up chorizo for a more authentic flavour)
-veges (I used tomato, corn, capsaicin and red onion)
-seasonings/herbs/lemon juice (what ever floats your boat, chilli included!)

You will also need a sharp knife, cutting board, and a sandwich iron.

Room updates: Frames

I just noticed how dusty my shelf was in these photos. Uck. Anyway I finally framed some of my Japan Postcards (from Lee Ufan and Chi Chu Art Museums) and thought I would give you a quick tour. I bought three new frams from Kmart, all for $2.50 each, bargin! I was hoping to buy a big frame to fit them all in, but as they are all landscape there was no such frame.

Enjoy the shots below

That time I house sat

Me and Andrew did some House sitting on the Easter long weekend, and I managed to take some shorts. The home owners have two adorable twin kitties. They are the sweetest (both the kitten and the home owners for that matter.)

And that final shot is my favourite, so cute!
